Some of the codes were difficult to decipher because they were like jig-saw puzzles fitted within a triangle. Just the factory codes alone numbered in 150. ![]() Bulgarian ak47 / ak74 red bakelite bayonet.Writing this sticky was a daunting task because the amount of information was overwhelming. Different versions of the Type 56 feature a bayonet attached to the barrel. Only $50 + Bulgarian AK-47 Milled Parts Kit - Fixed Stock. I should also mention that the fixed-stock rifles I have seen with Phenolic handguards and/or Phenolic pistol grips, had stamped receivers, but I wouldn't at all be surprised if the Chinese also made milled rifles with the same furniture/material combination.Īnyways, here's the pic It shows a young soldier with the United Wa State Army in Myanmar:Arsenal, Inc. ![]() Like I mentioned a few posts above, the vast majority of fixed-stock Chinese rifles with Phenolic handguards and Phenolic pistol grip have wooden buttstocks, but Phenolic handguards in combination with wooden buttstock and wooden pistol grip are not really uncommon when one examines photos of Chinese AKs from all around the world. I should however point out that I can't see all that well at the moment, so I might be wrong in my analysis of the relevant details of the picture. Based on the texture of the handguards in comparison to the wooden parts on the gun, and the fact that the lower handguard doesn't appear to have a steel ferrule, along with the upper handguard being vented, I'd say that this gun has Phenolic handguards. ![]() Here's another picture of a milled Chinese Type-56 spiker my eyes aren't good at the moment, so I can't say for sure if these handguards are Phenolic or not. ![]()
